Solutions for Backup

With the abundance of computer viruses and the possibility of hardware failure, the need to backup your local data is of critical importance. However, the execution of this process is not always a top priority and is often overlooked due to other pressing matters. WebDrive from South River Technologies provides a solution that takes care of itself.

WebDrive offers a File Transfer Manager supporting full or incremental FTP backups of important files and folders. Our wizard driven interface allows users to schedule FTP backups to take place on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. Users protect their information and can access it through a virtual drive connection.

To create and schedule an FTP backup, open you WebDrive Client site manager and complete the following steps:
  1. Select “Utilities” from the above menu and select “File Transfer Manager.”
  2. Select “New” from the menu below
  3. Choose the Transfer Operation “Upload/Backup,” click next
  4. Select the Files or Folders you want to backup, click next
  5. Choose to perform a Full or Incremental backup and select the destination folder for the FTP backup, then click next
  6. Enter a name for the FTP backup and click finish
  7. The backup now appears in the File Transfer Manager backup list
  8. To schedule the backup, select “Schedule” from the menu below
  9. Inside the schedule window, select new
  10. Choose to schedule the FTP backup to occur on a daily, weekly or monthly basis
  11. Click “OK” to complete. Your backup is now ready to run during the scheduled time.
WebDrive also supports WebDAV and SFTP protocols. In addition to FTP backups, WebDrive can backup files to WebDAV or SFTP servers.
